Jakarta – state-owned construction company PT Waskita initiated the construction of a new toll road projects in Bali, Bali along the 156.7 Km. The motorway to be built consists of four projects include Kuta-Canggu-Tanah Lot Canggu-Soka, Soka-Pekutatan Pekutatan-Gilimanuk, and Pekutatan-Lovina.

This was conveyed by the Director of Operations I Desi Arryani after attending the General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) Annual Waskita Headquarters, Jakarta, Friday (24/04/2015).

This toll road, he continued, would be the main access supporting the new airport to be established in North Bali. Currently it is in Bali existing toll above sea named Bali Mandara along 12 Km.

“Toll recently initiation (the idea) Waskita as initiator, we propose of Kuta-Canggu-Tanah Lot-Soka, approaching the new airport in North Bali,” she said on that occasion.

The toll road will have a length of approximately 156.7 Km from the south side, west to north Bali.

“Kuta-Tanah Lot Canggu along the 28 km-Soka, Soka-Pekutatan 25.1 km, Pekutatan-Gilimanuk along 54.4 km and 46.7 km Pekutatan-Lovina,” she said.

From the initial planning, the construction of this toll is expected to cost up to Rp 34.379 trillion. “Around Rp 35 trillion. That’s the results of the feasibility study. It has been considered a potential development area, traffic density, and other environmental aspects,” she said.

Currently the initiative has been submitted to the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) for further action.

He is convinced this proposal will get a positive response from the government for the right to work on the highway that has been initiated Waskita. However, it is still waiting for the establishment of the Ministry PUPR BPJT.
